Virtual education sessions on a variety of topics relevant to traumatic injury and the care of trauma patients
Evaluation
The trauma program provides care for patients experiencing high-risk traumatic injuries within the Fraser Health Authority geographic area.
Our program has influence on work done in injury prevention and rehabilitation for our patients, but the main focus is on acute care from admission to discharge including outpatient follow-up.
One way we connect with healthcare providers is through monthly Trauma Grand Rounds
In the near future we hope to connect ore with stakeholders through "Trauma Connect Sessions" and Zone Trauma meetings. More coming soon, but one of the first topics we plan to introduce are the revised FHA Trauma Admission and Consult criteria.
Tiers of service are another element of the work I am doing to meet the provincial request from Trauma Services BC and look at our FHA sites to determine needs to maintain or advance to next tier of service.
