Multiple education sessions developed to support the practice of emergency department nurses at Royal Columbian Hospital, Surrey Memorial Hospital and Peace Arch Hospital.
Trauma Orientation, Zone 2 orientation, and general orientation for new staff refined according to stakeholder feedback and in response to changing environment and needs of learners and leadership.
Newsletters were a tool used to update staff, along with daily huddles and regular connections
Multi-casualty preparedness was another focus of my work. I was involved in policy and protocol development and education and simulation sessions used to refine these plans.
